Easy PROGRAMMING WORKSHOP
Did you know that countries like South Korea and England have changed their national curriculum to incorporate computer programming? These countries have placed this “language” at a level of importance equal to that of core subjects and world languages and have revised their curriculums to teach programming as early as the age of five. It is more important, and more possible, than ever for U.S. K12 students to learn how to program.
The center offers a three hour workshop for teachers interested in learning the basics of programing and how to begin incorporating programming education into their classrooms. Workshop participants will use the open source program Scratch to create and share projects of their own design.
This workshop can be customized for teachers, including media specialists, students, or a variety of other audiences. It can be taught on-site as well.
Workshop Cost: $60
