STEM-INTEGRATED ROBOTICS CURRICULUM TEACHER WORKSHOP
During this 10 hour, 2 day workshop the first 15 teachers to register (who’s schools have purchased RoboRobo kits) will be given module one of RAIL’s STEM-Integrated Robotics Education Curriculum, designed for fifth grade students. This includes one teacher edition and 30 student editions. Participants will be trained on how to teach the module with students, including hands-on practice with the module’s six lessons:
- Danger Zone
- Primary Programming
- Purposeful Programming
- Prime Optimization
In this module, students are challenged to build and operate a robot to accomplish a given task. The lessons are designed to take students through the engineering design process in a scientific context using technology and mathematics to build and optimize their solution.
The workshop incorporates Roborobo Kit 1. Participants may bring their own kit or one will be provided for them to use at the workshop including all materials and batteries.
